Thank you for your song, Riding w/ Private Malone. 2001, I graduated high school & being an Army brat I've always appreciated any tribute to our brave service members. In 2011, I married the most wonderful, selfless Air Force man(his birthday is July 4th) who has served over 21 years & counting. Since 9/11 he has deployed many, many times overseas & I've always thanked God he arrives home safe in my arms every time!
Recently my Grandfather passed away. He was a dairy farmer most of his life among other things to provide for his family of 10. He never got the opportunity to serve because he was needed to work his milk delivery job here in Ohio. Him & my Grandmas farm w/ their red barn has been a wonderful place to go while growing up & even still today. The other night I had a dream about that big red barn & a hypothetical vintage car cared for by my Grandma, which sparked the love I have for the Private Malone music video. Thanks again for sharing your gift of song with the world & supporting our troops!

We share the same birthday. July 9th, 1953. We are a little younger the George Strait. He was born May 18th, 1952. He's be 62 tomorrow. Just had a grand girl have a birthday today...her first! That's always fun, eh? I hope you have a great concert tonight. If you happen to be home for your birthday, let me know and I might pop by to say Hi. I sing baritone and can harmonize with about anything. Would be fun to hook up and sing a few songs with you. God Bless you!

I have been a big fan of yours for a long time and love your song "Private Malone." I am a romance novelist and have thought for awhile "Private Malone" would make a great book. I am wondering who I would contact to get permission to use the name "Private Malone" for the novel and use the storyline of the song to write a romance novel. I look forward to your response.

Dear David.
My name is Ulrika Söderlund and I live in Sweden. I love your music and that real good country music you do. The last 2 years I have been singing and have some country songs one Myspace. I like the old country sound best. Country music is so much more than music , it`s telling stories to people and your lyrics are fantastic:) I have made a tribut to your song when the thought of you catches up with me in my one way. In Sweden we don`t have much country music sadley but true. I have loved country music since I was a child much because my dad loves it to. My favorit song is Leroy von Dykes Walk on bye it makes me happy:) And Patsy Clines I fall to pieces, sweet dreams and crazy easy songs no! She was one of a kind. I havn`t been able to sing everyday before just the last one and a half year, because I have a son that`s Autistic and A dauther so when she moved from home I finally had a place to practice my voice. I really love to sing and if you could go to Myspace and hear the songs I have there and maybe comment It would mean the world to me. It`s only me and my microphone no mixer board. I know that I proberbly never will sing on stage or stand on a stage because of my age soon 46 even thou People tell me that I look younger and many people think that it is a waist for me not to be on a stage but they are not in the music industri. My biggest dream would to go to Nashville and se the Grand old Ophry but that is impossible if not Good makes a miricle. As he can I know that but if you would just hear my singing that would be a miricle to:) Keep making songs to fill hearts joy, You Can find me on you tube to. Sincerly Ulrika Söderlund.

I think it is completely disgusting that you would participate in something as sick as the Seeking Asylum Music Festival in Weston, W.Va. The use of this facility for 'ghost tours' and festivals is very painful to the families of the patients who suffered and died in this building, the so-called Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, originally the Weston State Hospital. The owners and promoters of this festival are heartless, callous money-grubbers who have absolutely no consideration or respect for the families of the deceased who were in this hospital.
